Can I not have sound through the TV speakers whilst the audio plug is in? At the moment I like to have the sound through my hi fi which is fine, but I would like to be able to turn on and off through the TV speakers. Currently when I put the audio plug in, the TV speakers are turned off.

What model TV do you have? And is the hifi plugged into the single Audio Out/Headphone socket?

Thanks for the message.

I have a Sony KDL-32R403C TV and yes, the hi fi is plugged into the
headphone phono socket, which is on the left hand side of the TV screen.
