    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P _mce_style="" style=";"&gt;Dear Sir/Madam,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P _mce_style="" style=";"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P _mce_style="" style=";"&gt;I am trying to install windows xp after removing windows 8 from my computer after creating new partition via fdisk with windows 98se startup disk but during installation I get in trouble when get a blue screen error message saying&lt;BR type="_moz" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P _mce_style="" style=";"&gt;"YOUR COMPUTER'S STARTUP PROGRAM CANNOT GAIN ACCESS TO THE DISK CONTAINING THE PARTITION FOR FREE SPACE YOU CHOOSE.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Hi skazmee and welcome.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;The problem is that XP does not support SATA hard drives natively. You will need to provide the installer with the SATA drivers during installation of XP by pressing F6 at the start of Setup.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;There are several ways of doing this. The usual way is to load the drivers from a floppy disc drive but you can also make a slipstreamed installation disc with the drivers included using something like nLite.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Google for 'Installing XP on a SATA Hard Drive' and you will find details of all these options.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;&lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.gr/html/@0248C33DDCF34AA61B8F8F33F5AFA5BE/images/smilies/013.png" alt=":wink:" title=":wink:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
