The dvd/cd cable is loose or unplugged completely, this could happen sometimes if you drop the laptop or move it a lot around. </P><P></P><P>2. The dvd/cd optical drive died and need to replace it.</P><P></P><P>Can u open the dvd drive and does it make any clicking- reading noise at all when u&nbsp; insert discs. If not then the power is not coming to dvd drive then.
