Handy cam DCR-2424 i.EEE connectors

I am experiencing difficulty in finding an i.EEE cable to fit into the download/charging socket on the camcorder.I have bought 2 now which fit the desctiption, but the actual shape of the connector is very slightly different from the feamale socket in the camera and will not fit, although they look as though they should. Has anyone got an old wire that is not in use? I think the design of the connectors must have slightly changed sinc I bought the camera in about 2005.

Hi,

The model number is DCR-HC24E, and the serial number is 1256404. I wonder if the design of the i.EEE female socket has been changed since this camera was made, as the profile looks the same but the corresponding male connections I have recently bought do not fit.
