ZONY HDV Z1U CAMCORDER OUTPUT !

I now cannot use my Z1U because I upgraded to a iMac and the computer ports no longer take the old firewire cable.

I bought an adaptor to USB 3 ports but this was useless. Is this camera now redundant or can it the material be outputted somehow to USB3 ? Or perhaps another output ?

Hi,

You would need a Firewire adaptor to use the camcorder with your iMac.

Probably the one you've obtained doesn't work as it should.
