Sony FDR 1000 external mic problems

Hello,

I have issues with camera external microphone. I have bought stereo microphone, but when I plug, record video with it, the left channel most of the times will have ticking sound. I have attached video example. I know that it is not a microphone problem, I tried multiple microphones.

Also, what 3.5 jack suppoose to go inside external plug? there is tripple and 4 layered 3.5 plugs which one is inside fdr 1000 ?

Hi there lauris46,

the input is a TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve) input.

The tickling sound can be a result of the cameras WiFi (if switched on) or your smartphone sending/receiving something via mobile data interfering with the coil inside the microphones capsule.
