Turntable with High-Resolution recording PS-HX500 - can I convert to FLAC files instead?

Thinking of purchasing ones based on the excellent reviews but I have a preference to rip to FLAC files; would this be possible with this turntable and the free software it comes with?

Hey, when you are using this turntable as a Hi-Res Audio Recorder, the turntable will record audio tracks in high-resolution format (DSD or PCM) from the vinyl record being played on the turntable by using the software on your PC. You can find it here in the help guide manual. I hope this helps.

One more question please; are the PSHX500 and PSHX500.CEK the same turntable?

If so, anyone know what the CEK stands for?
