my service provider is Vodafone Italy even if you have the new firmware because I can not install it?

the firmware I have is the following 10.1.A.1.350

The new firmware has not been rolled out to every retailer/country as yet. I am in Australia and have yet to recieve the update unfortunatley...it sure it taking its time but patience is the only option.

I have updated to latest firmware however major issues like "WiFi Signal drops" is still not resolved in the update.

Unfortunatley it takes time for all the issues to be adressed and often...more than 1 update is needed to address every issue. Sadly, we have to be patient and trust that SONY is working as hard as they possibly can to keep their customers satisfied with their premium product.

Then I believe sony should have fully tested the product before launching it in market. They are just talking money from customers by giving sucha pice of sh*t

There are so many issues highlighed in this forum like " Sudden Sleep of Death" and "WiFi Signal drops". With such issues... it becomes difficult to work and that too after spending such a huge amount.

Just got the new firmare here (Telenor/Norway). I did *not* have to connect the phone to a PC, It did it all by itself in about 2 minutes. What exactly has been fixed?

The lastest firmware fixed some unlisted issues as well as the 'Dead' issue where the phone would simply stop working and the user would not be able to operate the phone, a serious issue that was dealt with as swiftly as they could.

@Nik...I don't work for SONY but I can tell you right now, they would have tested this phone to no end. No matter what phone i've used in the past, the first few months is always about fixing the niggly bits to please the customers. I am sorry your upset but its just a phone and most of the software issues really do not incapacitate the phone in a manner in which you still can not use it. I hope the issues you have will be sorted soon....btw...Firmware updates don't cost you anything, its a service. Be glad they are providing the service, they could be real A-holes and just not do a thing, but they are, so please wait patiently

wifi reception is not as good as my laptop but then the antenna is 90% smaller - but it works fine for me

Luckily I haven't experienced any problems with my Wifi...it reaches the exact same distance as my last phone and can easily use it outside in the backyard without a hitch. Some people are just getting the short end of the stick

Im Australian and still haven't recieved the update, its definetley region specific and carriers also determine how long you will need to wait for any sort of update, im glad that you've finally been able to update your Z

Some users are reporting issues with the new firmware to do with Stamina mode, keep an eye out for any problems and report back here and read some of the other suggestions/discussions in various threads regarding the issue.
