It's normal after a software update.

The software has to settle and reset settings to reduce battery usage.

It has to learn from your smartphone usage and that takes a few days.

TIP: restart your device once a week for optimal performance.

No way that is true...before this one after every monthly update battery was always good...

I'm not the only one with this problem there are many users on Reddit reporting this same problem...

Maybe thats way Sony is pushing another update only with A at the end of 222 number?

That could depend on the update itself, does it need for the device to start to readjust the power usage of the phone or not.

Try to do the steps here , they could help after the update.

I've had this several times before... some of your apps will need to be re-installed (or may just not be compatible with the latest update)... normally you can find the culprits in Settings - Battery and then the three dots at the top it will show you Battery Usage.

One note though: don't try it straight after you've been charging as it will only start to show you the breakdown of what has taken the power since your last charge (even a partial charge) once it has dropped ~10%.... e.g. you're at 55%, charge up to 75%.... then you'll have to wait until ~65% before there are any stats in that screen.
