How to tune down vibration

I always have had issue with the vibration strength of xperia phones. the vibration is too strong and loud - it is extremely annoying.

I do not want to turn off vibrations completely or adjust the vibration pattern for each app seperately. Is it possible to reduce the strenght of the vibration globally?

Unfortunately, there's no system setting to reduce vibrations intensity, so that leaves you with 2 options:

1- Root your phone and tweak with system settings (not recommended unless you're an expert user)
