SD Card not detected

Hi,

I have recently bought a Sandisk Ultra 512gb micro sd XC A1 memory card to replace an 8Gb i had in my XZ3.

I can read it from my laptop and even transfer data to it, but when inserted into the XZ3 it is not detected. I have tried everything in the means of formatting, repairing via Windows etc but it will not be picked up by the phone. I can insert the old 8gb and is detected no bother.

Any advice as to whether this new sd card is compatible or if i am missing something. The sd card is brand new and bought from amazon.
