update problem*

Hai I'm in India and three days before I checked out my update centre and it showed 18.3.1.B.0.18 update availabile.. And my build number is 18.3.B.0.31 so I was happy and assumed that It might be 4.4.4 and so I started downloading it after some time I checked it out it said coul not download.. I tried to do that again and again but it kept on saying the same.and so I formated my entire mobile and then checked out the update centre and it showed nothing. I tried even using Sony pc suite it says ur phone has the latest available software.. But all I have is 4.4.2 with build number 18.3.B.0.31.. So I'm confused if the problem is in my mobile or just Sony cancelled the new update??

It could have been Sony pulled the update or it could be your country requested that it be pulled or it may have simply been an error with the labeling but to be sure contact Xperia care and ask about this update http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/contactUs/

Yup I mailed just now.. And I know they r going to give a **bleep**ty reply.... Because what ever question I ask all they say is try repairing ur device wid pc suite.. So..let's see

I am sorry to hear you are having issues in regards to updating your Xperia M2 Dual. If PC Companion says your handset has the latest software then it will. The build number might have been a small update not 4.4.4. If the handset was not updated with the build number however you should receive the same notification soon reminding you that you can update.

If the update was available you should be able to download and install it, check through PCC if its not there well then the update has not been rolled out.

Thats the thing. When I checked in pc companion first time it said update available.. So i formated my mobile.. Then since the update was available on air I downloaded it in my mobile through "WiFi" connection available in my home.. And then after downloading 75% as I said error occurred and after that no matter how many times I check in pc companion it just says " your phone has the latest available software ".. Which is not true because a while ago it said new update available.... Am I clear??

are you sure the update available wasn't for PC Companion itself not your phone? you are not going to find any other answer here other than contact your local Xperia Care or check your phone

settings > about phone > software update

PC Companion or Bridge (for Mac)

other than that you will have to wait

manually update your phone.

Hi,
I also faced the issue in getting the new update. But after few attempts now I got the update and installed it also. But I m very disappointed wid dis update,bcoz after this update I m not able to use my official email in my phone. It always gives the error "not able to connect to server ". Can someone advise on this issue. Thanks

im using Xperia m2 dual. In the previous week, I dad post some comments about the 4.4.4 kitakat update of xperi m2. I would like to list some problems that I have been facing since the update.
Lost note app
Lost small app sound recorder
Battery draining too quickly
Auto brightness not working properly
Nfc not working
Dual sim problems.

Ya sure..
I too have problems with auto brightness
Yup have some battery draining problems too.
The only use of this update is my audio playback is good now..
