If so, remove them (HDMI cables/devices, USB cables/devices, Optical cables/devices? If so, remove all these and try again.

If you now get 4K, put those devices back one by one until you lose 4K again, and you will have found the culprit.

If still no 4K, open the BBC iPlayer, and select a 4K programme, His Dark Materials maybe. Does that play in 4K?

If still no go, Factory Reset the TV, and try the above again,

Please report back how you get on!

NB: What is an 8K router?

Hi,

I own a KD-55XF8096, and it is only playing in 1080i. I have Disney+, Netflix etc., and every movie is in 1080i, even tho they are supposed to be 4KUHD. I've tried picture settings, but I cannot change the resolution, only HDR.

Any ideas what can be the problem? We have high speed 8k router, latest firmware etc.

Appreciate the help in advance!
