There is no backup available. Please let us know how you get on.

I would be cautious with your 4K Max Firestick just in case it has caused permanent damage.

Hi all,i connected a brand new 4K Max Firestick to HDMI port 2 on my Sony Bravia KD55S8505C and it has knocked out all my HDMI ports,no picture or sound appears on all 4 ports, the tv screen is a very dark blue for any of the hdmi ports.

Normal tv functions A ok.

Prior to plugging in the 4K Max I had a Firestick 4K plugged to HDMI port 2 with no issues.

In the 4K Max leaflet install guide it says "For 4k streaming connect to an HDMI HDCP 2.2 port on your 4K tv"

I cant find anything that gives that hdmi port info for my tv,i have a Sony tv reference guide book, came with tv and it has a load of hdmi info but no reference to HDCP 2.2 so can any one throw some light on my issue???

I have done all the usual reset ,un plug etc but not a factory reset, dont know if that would do any good and i have stuff in Kodi that i would lose by doing a factory reset,is it possible to do a backup b4 a factory reset?

Thanks in advance for any replies,Pete.

Up date to my issue.

Had to do a factory reset, fortunately it put every thing back as it was and working.Plugged the 4K max firestick into hdmi port 2(mhl) and switched it on and firestick booted up ok,changed the setting on hdmi port for 4k first though. Now installing aps on the stick and tv .

Tried transferring my kodi app with a build to my galaxy S9plus using HAL LAUNCHER but it would not do the transfer🙄 before factory resetting tv.Anyway no costly repair needed 😀
