My set-up.

Sony TV KD 55XF9005

Sony Soundbar HT-ZF9

The Berliner Philharmoniker Android TV App now promises the following

"Are you using the Digital Concert Hall TV app? Connect a Dolby Atmos-enabled AV receiver or soundbar with Dolby Atmos support. In your own home, it will sound almost like being in the auditorium."

I don't get Atmos, all I get is LPCM audio and scuzzy LPCM at that

Are you using HDMI ARC? Also, in the TV audio output, make sure it's Auto1 or Auto2, not PCM. Also you will need to setup the soundbar and change the output as it's showing in page 25.

The sound is still LPCM.

I suspect it may be related to the app.

Well, if other apps working fine in Atmos, then yet at this point I would suspect the app as well. So, is it working for other apps?

I just tried Netflix and it plays back fine in Atmos. It's safe to assume it's the app.

Yup, time to troubleshoot the app buddy XD, I would suggest the usual clearing cache and data, maybe force stop it, and check for update for it through the store? Or, download a whole new version. Hope it gets sorted soon!

It seems that the update hasn't arrived on my android TV yet. I've checked the play store and it's still the old version.
