Auto Restarts

Had this happen a few times now, On my Sony XR65X94J. As we're watching the TV it would just go off and restart it self...?....? Anyone know why this is happening.. Had 3 of these TVS (due to other reasons) and has done this on all of them.. Any Help.? 🤔

Hello mate,

I have been experiencing the same issue with my Sony A80J where it randomly reboots while watching something. It is not related to any specific app. It happens on almost anything app. I have been in touch with Sony level 2 support where they are say that it is a software issue. They have made me disable a number of settings to isolate the issue but it keeps happening and i am not sure what the culprit is?

If we can have more people contacting Sony, that may put some pressure on them to investigate thoroughly.

Will do. Will let you know if anything changes. But I do know there's a new update coming which should fix some bugs plus VRR as well, Think it's any time from 2nd march. Just need to keep checking. The fix maybe in this update... 😁👍🇬🇧.

It seems that Sony actually released a software update for your TV, I'd recommend updating it then test it with the new update, hopefully this bug has been addressed in it: https://bit.ly/3K7wov9

Hi done update, been playing GT7 today and just after Finnishing a race the TV just Turned off... So to answer all NO the update did not help fix problem....

Really gutted to read this. I had the KD-55AG8 and it did this constantly. Sony were absolutely useless and even though the forum was full of others with the same problem they actually tried to blame me.

luckily Richer Sounds were amazing and gave me pretty much a full refund.

I’ve had my 80j for a couple of weeks with no issues.
if this one does it I’m binning Sony after 33 years of being a loyal customer
