Hi @rossg591

I am not sure how you would be able to switch it back on if it allowed you to power it off without removing the power. When it is powered off the remote will no longer work and even the power buttons on the TV need standby power to switch it back on.

Virtually all modern TVs are designed to be left in standby. I don't know but wouldn't be surprised if constant powering off and on shortened the life of the power board.

Pressing the green power button on the Sony XBR-65X81CH remote puts the TV into standby mode. Is there a way to change the action to powering off the TV rather than going into Standby? Thanks in advance.
