Bravia Core App - IMAX-DTS Sound issue

Hi All,

I have a Sony XR65A80J Television connected to a Sony STR-DN1080 A/V Receiver, and I am having trouble getting anything other than PCM 2.0 stereo sound from IMAX-dts films on the Bravia Core app.

I can get DD+ from other apps. And even the menu of the Bravia Core app shows as DD. However as soon as I start the film it flips into plain old PCM 2.0.

I’m getting 350Mbps + form the internet via a USB Ethernet dongle, so speed isnt an issue. I have upgraded the HDMI cable to a High Speed Ethernet one to ensure its e-ARC capable.

I have tried every setting on the amp, but to no avail.

Is this a bug with the App? Or is something else up here?

Thank you for your suggestion - I hadn't seen this setting. But unfortunately it has made no difference. Its still receiving a PCM 2.0 feed, no DTS coming into the amp. 😥

Hey garethparsons, just curious, are you able to get DTS from any other app?

Everything seems to be Dolby, these days, so no. This app and others will send Dolby Digital. Is there another app I can try that would use DTS? Thanks...
