Screen mirror from iPad to Bravia KD-55X8509C

I cannot work out how to mirror my iPad screen to my Sony Bravia Kd-55x8509C. I’ve tried using an HDMI cable and I’ve tried wifi Direct but neither appear to work…. I have searched a bit online but cannot find any answers or guides others than the standard Sony sites and have followed the instructions… all to no avail. I admit I’m not the most tech-savvy with this sort of stuff but can anyone help? I’m trying to just show my iPad screen - not ‘media’ or website… we have a game on an app that we want to ‘cast’ and mirror from the iPad to the TV. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hi @Juliankent2003 The best way is to use an Apple TV box but connected using a HDMI cable works fine on my KD-43X8305C. Which cable are you using? Depending on your iPad connection you will need a AV Adapter. My iPad Pro connects using a USB-C AV Adapter to HDMI. It may be cheaper to buy a secondhand Apple TV box then you can cast without cables.
