topic HDCP 2.2 bug with Fire TV Cube 2nd Gen (KD-XE Series) in Android TV

I have a KD-49XE8396 and the documentation states that all four HDMI ports are HDCP 2.2 compliant, but my Fire TV Cube insists that is not the case. I have gone out to buy a new HDMI Cable, a Sandstrom Gold Series S3HDM419, which is a HDMI 2.1 Ultra High Speed cable. This cable is far more than capable of the kinds of bitrate I will be using and compliance for the HDCP 2.2. I have ensured that Enhanced Mode is turned on for HDMI ports 2 and 3 but that in itself should have no impact whatsoever, because the issue according to the Fire TV Cube is the HDCP 2.2.

Does anybody else have this issue?

Firmware Version: v6.7140

Firmware Date: 18-11-2020

This could be a power glitch, and this is a recurring thing with HDMI in general (hopefully they fix the logic).

Try disconnecting everything from the TV and the Cube, unplug them from the power for 3 mins or so, then connect them back up and they should work just fine.

- JD
