Brilliant!

Changing the HDMI signal input from "enhanced format" to" standard format" has solved the issue.

As delivered, HDMI port 1 was set to standard and the rest to enhanched.

Many thanks for your help.

Just installed a KD48A9 today, looks promising.

I have come across an odd problem in connecting a set top box by HDMI,

This particular Humax box has no audio output when connected via 3 of the 4 HDMI sockets, it works on HDMI no. 1 only. Other inputs work fine on the HDMI sockets.

I've changed the lead and I've altered the HDMI output on the Humax to stereo but no success.

Anybody out there had a similar problem?

This looks like a Humax-specific issue, there's a chance someone on the forum has some info but it might be quicker checking similar forums for Humax or contacting support directly instead.

That said, you can check the "Enhanced format" option on the TV just in case (under Settings - Watching TV - External inputs - HDMI signal format).

- JD
