Problem with text size on tv guide on kd55ag9

I have recently bought a Sony Bravia KD55AG9 (2019) TV. One issue I have with it is that the text of the programme guide is too small, and would like to increase this. I saw that a previous post gave instructions on how to make the text size larger with the sequence of home-apps-settings-display-fonts. However, there is no settings under the apps menu, and the other settings do not contain a font setting under display. I cannot find any reference to font or text anywhere. Any ideas?

I believe the setting you're looking for is Text Magnification (under Settings - Device Preferences - Accessibility - Text Magnification).

I have already tried the magnifier option and have this set. The big problem with this is that it is painfully slow, even with the shortest time set for the display (it flashes up channel name, then channel number and eventually the programme name). Ideally what I want to do is to increase the text size of the main display so it can be read directly About a 20% increase would be useful.
