I am trying to set up a new tv. I need to connect it to my wi fi so I selected my sky network and put in my password. The tv said the password was incorrect but it doesn’t give me any option to put it in again. I keep going round in circles and I cannot get passed this stage. I can’t access my sky box or free view. I have a tv I cannot use.

Hi,

You should be able to change your password in the network settings of your TV.

Try to use the advanced settings if the simple ones do not work.

What I was not told anywhere was to skip trying to sign into wi fi so that I could continue with the set up so that I could then get to settings and re-set the password. Sony no help - no phone number in the uk or even an email address. Non-existent customer service. Wont buy Sony again

Why not connect with WPS?

There's usually a second option during network setup (WPS), you'll also find a WPS button on the router. You can usually activate it by long pressing that button which usually lights up a corresponding LED on the router.

While the light is ON/Flashing, select WPS on the TV and you won't need a password. WPS automatically switches off after that on the router.
