kd-49x8309c sound issue

Hi. I have a kd-49x8309c TV which generally is fine. However from time to time when I click the Netflix button or say the Guide button to open an app the sound from the previous HDMI input (usually Sky) carries on playing.I can't turn off the TV and usually results in me having to turn off at the mains and restarting. Has anyone experienced this issue before?

The blank screen with sound is a known issue, which currently there is no solution
