Sony kd49XH9505. cannot connect my iphone to airplay

I am trying to play apple tv through my iphone 8plus to the TV, through mirroring. While the TV gives me an airplay passcode, i insert it in the iphone but doesnt work. Both devices are connected in the same WiFi

Thanks Peter,

I have done all those. When i mirror and input the Airplay passcode to the iphone, it doesn seem to accept it and the passcode space turns to blank again. Any idea?

Hi Grifon1987,

Unfortunately I have no idea why it isn't accepting the passcode.

Try to reboot both devices and check if this will solve the issue.

Although I'm leaning towards the iPhone being the faulty part here as the TV does what's expected and generates a passcode.
