Malfunctioning Screen Sony KD49XE9005

Hi all,

I have an unresponsive TV here, have performed a hard reset using the power and (-) buttons on the tv itself, had partial success in getting it up and running this morning, but it has now reverted back to digital artifacting/ coloured repeating lines as shown below, any ideas what this could point too ?

Thought it could be a faulty power supply, or software issue

Only a technical support center can help you here, nothing you can solve by yourself (hope you have an extended warranty, otherwise could be better to start finding a new tv)

Hi rooobb, thanks for the reply.

The TV is still within a 5 year service guarantee period and have a TV service centre technician to pick the set up shortly, was just intrigued more than anything else what the issue might be.

Only a technician could tell you, it may be the mother board, the tcon or the panel itself
