Wont come out of standby

looks like i got upgraded to Oreo 8.0 over the last few days, since then after the tv is off for a prolonged period it will not wake from standby. Any ideas ?

i also had the joy of time being wrong & no internet connection, great these bugs still happen after so long

Are you saying the TV won't come on at all or does it eventually come on once you unplug it for a minute?

It would be nice to include the model number in the title or the body of the post. Thanks.

My Sony KD-65XE9005, from late 2017 has recently started dragging its heels when powering on.

The white sensor light comes on immediately just as it always did.

The remote seems fine.

The television has been connected to a Sony HT-ST5000 soundbar, for several months now, via the HDMI ARC on the TV, and then an Xbox Series X (formerly a One X), which is plugged into the soundbar.

The TV goes to a dark grey and seems to be taking longer and longer to come on to something / anything. The most recent update was after this delay started to become really obvious.

But when the TV finally comes on, it stays on and is fuss-free.

I would appreciate any insight here. Capacitors beginning to fail?
