Hi,

Went to setup a new KD-43X8309C last night.

After the initial set of steps it asked me if I wanted to download the latest software updates, which I did. It did the big download first and got that installed.

After about an hour the tv changed from the white flashing indicator to 6 red flashes.

At one stage I hit power on the remote and the screen came on to say it was updating something like app 20 of 129.

Waited another hour. Tried a couple of power offs. Still nothing.

After power up the white indicator starts flashing and then goes to the 6 red flashes.

Left it for the night and it was still the same this morning.

Any ideas of what the problem is or how to do a factory reset without the screen coming on. TV is not responding to the remote control.

TV is going back to Currys tomorrow if problem is not resolved.

Thanks

Donal

Hi there

The 6x flashing red light (or blinks) generally indicates a hardware failure. Advise you to contact the retailer and get them to exchange the tv.

Cheers
