KD-49X8005 Sony Bravia problem please help

This is a great tv and I want to get it back in use .

It is now switching itself on and then off again over and over repeatedly and I cannot stop it . There is no picture appearing on the screen but my remote is working ok and I have changed batteries .

Any suggestions please would be most appreciated .Please help Best Mike Manchester Uk

Try unplugging all leads from tv and try again, also could be a power supply problem with tv.
