Satellite channels change numbers themselves

I have tuned in three satellite TV channels that I need and deleted all others on the transponders. These are numbered 101, 102, 103. I have also selected "NO" to "update channels". However every few days new channels appear and my original three get moved to new numbers. This means that recordings are made of wrong channels.

Can anyone suggest how to stop this happening ?

Hi Jeff, I believe there's a feature in most TVs that allows it to update stations automatically. You can try turning it off, it's under the Technical Set-up of the Digital Set-up screen. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your suggestion

After the first time it happened I changed that setting to switch off updating but then it happened again. I checked the setting and updating is still shown as OFF.

If it happens again I will depower and repower the set.

Have you tried turning the Service Replacement setting Off as well?
