Hoping someone can offer some advice on this one.&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Was the happy owner of a Sony&nbsp;<SPAN>KD49XD8077SU&nbsp;up until 4 days ago and unsurprisingly 8 days out of warranty when things started to go pear-shaped. The symptoms started with alternating brightness every 3 seconds, then there appeared to be grey bands on the right of the screen popping in and out as it alternated the brightness.
