hi, I have a sony tv and soundbar connected via ARC ports. The tv reverts intermittingly to tv speakers. How can i assign permanently to audio system?

Basic, but switch both devices off (standby will do), unplug and reseat the HDMI cable at both ends, and try again.

If the problem continues, try it with an alternative, known-to-be-good, HDMI cable.
