Does anybody have any idea when support for 5.1 on the amazon app will happen?

sony said on there undate page that it would be the 23rd december, but nothing happened.

I find this really annoying as I have a full 9.1 setup and would love to stream some of the uhd films amazon offer, but I will not pay £19 per film if the app will not give me dolby digital.

I know they did one for netflix and I know my fire stick gives me 5.1 so what is the problem, or have I missed a setting.
