A new version of Android software was available from 31st Jan 2019. When will I get the update on my TV?.

The update has been temporarily suspended due to some problems encountered by some users, for example by those who have a Yamaha audio device connected via HDMI ARC, it will be resumed later. If you want to update anyway you can do it via USB by downloading the file from the support page to your model.

Hi @mansher123

There has not been any further delay. The pushed update was suspended on 13 Feb 2019 and there has been no news on a replacement update. The best you can do is install the Sony Support App and get a notification of when the new update is being released. Sony do not publish change dates in advance.

If you cannot wait and want Oreo 8.0 now it is available but please read the warning and satisfy yourself that it is low risk for you. The new update when it arrives should contain the Home Theatre system (Sound Bar, A/V Receiver, etc.) issue correction.
