KDL-43W809C No sound external speakers

I connected the TV to my audio system using the stereo outs and put the TV in external speaker mode, but I get no sound? The speakers react with a buzzing sound when I disconnect the plugs from the TV, so it seems like the TV is not pushing any sound?

Anybody got a clue?

Hi there

I believe those two RCA connectors (analog R+L) are actually inputs. To output audio you will need to connect one of three ways:

Use HDMI-ARC port
Use Digital Audio Out port (optical)
Use the headphone socket.

If you are connecting to an external audio source via analog like you are doing, you will need to use the third option with an adaptor. Search Amazon for RCA to 3.5mm adaptor
