Elapsed time recording indicater.

I have a KD-49x8305c tv connected to an external hard drive, I am happy enough with this setup as it works well (after many initial teething problems).

However, when viewing any recordings I have made, if I fast forward the recording I sometimes get an elapsed time recording icon appearing on the screen, this only happens intermittently, but mostly at the begining of a recording.

This in itself is not a problem but there seems to be no way of making this icon disapear without stopping the recording and coming out of the recording then going back into it !

Surely there must be some way of coming out of it and bringing it back in when required.

I would be grateful for any info on the subject.

Hi Behanspen,

Please check this information in the timer recording settings page of the help guide here. I'm not sure, but you may find something in the 32 settings that will help you. Otherwise, there is a general recording TV programmes section here that might have some helpful advice.

Thanks for your reply, but none of these instructions mention anything about the appearance (random) of the elapsed time recording icon appearing.

Im really quite surprised that this has not happened to other owners as it does happen regularly to me.

Hi behanspen,

Could you send us a link of a short video that shows this issue? It seems to be normal but I'm being doubtful since you said it's occurring in an intermittent way.

This is what happens when I fast forward a recording usually at the beginning of a recorded program, I can not get rid of it after it appears without coming out of the recording.

INFO button [i+] on the remote.

[BACK] button similarly.

Tried those two buttons both together and individually, just comes out of the whole recording and then have to go back into it.

Sorry but it works for me on my KD-55AF. Looks like a 'feature' on your stuff:-/
