There are several ways of factory-resetting a BRAVIA TV, depending on the model.

Have a look at this help guide and see if it works better.

I need help doing a factory reset on my Bravia TV. Lately the TV has been starting to slow down, and certain apps won't stop loading, namely YouTube. After reading other posts about similar issues the overall consensus is that the data is full and so I need to reset.

I tried doing a factory reset by unplugging the power cord, then pressing down the power and volume down button while plugging the cord back in. Then the TV showed a screen with two arrows spinning in a circle. The guide said it'd take 10-30 seconds to get the LED indicator to go green signalling letting go of the power and volume down button, but it never happened. The arrows kept spinning... for over 10 minutes until I had to let go.

Anyone have any ideas how I can do a successful reset, or otherwise fix the YouTube problem?
