home button on the 65" KDL-65W855C

Hi can anyone help please the home button has stopped working the other parts of the remote are still working, it suggest to reset to factory settings through the help button can get that setting but has not reset to factory settings, picture is good not as good as used to be, so would like to get the home button where there are features that might resolve the other issues like adding usb. any ideas

Can I just check that ALL the other remote buttons are working

on the remote control?

(Just to eliminate that you may need another remote)

Also forgive me asking but have the batteries been replaced to test the button?

Thanks for the reply, we have another sony same remote makes no difference the home button when pressed the light of the on/off flickers slightly so you know the message is getting to the tv but nothing is happening now found a way to get to the reset the tv to factory settings will try this in the morning cannot let the wife miss her fav programs,
