External HDD for recording

I took delivery of a 65X8509 yesterday. The TV is ok I guess, though pic quality is disappointing with a lot of banding. Anyway, I'm trying to get te set to regonize an external drive to record onto using YouView. I've looked in the help section, but it points you towards setting that don't seem to exisit. Does anyone know how to get the recording up & running?

First of all check your firmware version:

Ignore their example link.

You must install latest April's one for your TV model and region:

For EU :
