Auto turn on using Google cast - 65XD8559

Hey guys

So I have the google cast ultra, and I can cast to that even when the TV is off.. it auto turns on the TV. Using CEC (Sony Sync)

However I decided to use the inbuit google cast, as to my knowledge there is no benefit to using the stand alone device? Maybe some of you have some info to share to proove otherwise.

Anyway, although I am almost certain that I used to turn on the TV automatically since switching to the inbuilt cast, I cannot now. I basically cannot find the TV in my list of possible casts until I turn it on manually. Am I missing something... or will this be one of the points in favour of using my standalone cast device.
