KD43XD8305BU starts in HDMI1 as opposed to TV

When started from cold (Power off at mains) my KD43XD8305BU goes directly to HDMI1. I do not have a device connected here. How can I change it to start in Digital (TV) or HDMI3/ARC. If I switch off from the remote it will come back as the source at switch off

try an Android TV Reboot, press hold the Power/OFF key on remote...

No, it is only a Reboot not a Reset.

Mad no difference. I think I will disconnect everything then reconnect one by one and see if it loses the 'memory'

Mine always starts up on the sky HDMI port which I'm very happy about, is it just a case of the TV starting up on the connection it was switched off in, try switching off in digital and see what happens when you restart.

We are expecting a capability to select any other input as default to go to when it is turned on, since Summer 2015.

Nothing is done yet. Sony has forgot this for normal user TV sets. Gives option to proffessional TV sets but not for us.

Do you remember, first setup, if you selected a set top box in HDMI ?

Are you using an IR blaster?

Not sure now what I selected at start. not using IR Blaster. Will attempt to repeat set up from start this evening

Well gone back to basics and to no avail. I guess I just have to live with it until Sony provide an update to the OS. It's fine as long as I do not power down and just use standby

How about going back to basics again, doing a factory reset of everything and go through the setup process without having anything plugged into the HDMI 1 port?

Once the TV is working as should then plug in ans setup your device into HDMI 1, aviod turning on any sony active Sync for now too.

(sorry just re read the OP and think you have nothing plugged into HDMI 1?)

Hi @bgma79

Try Disabling this input and reboot your TV

(Go to Settings - External inputs - Manage inputs - press HDMI1 -> select Hidden. Press and hold power button until TV starts reboot).

Did you perform an Initial setup or performed a Storage & reset ?
