Hi there

I know you have mentioned "burning in" subtitles - but this should be transcoded "on-the-fly" - hence not adding any additional time - just extra CPU load on the device you are streaming on.

Also see:

http://serviio.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=33

Other than that, try finding files that already have subtitles hard-coded in etc.

VLC is normally pretty good at handling subtitle files too.

Cheers

Hello everyone!
I recently bought Bravia TV (KDL-43W755C) and been trying to solve a certain problem for a few days now, but invane. Ok, Is it possible to watch a movie (that has been shared in a folder of my PC together with the subtitles) on my Bravia with subtitles? Subtitles work fine if a movie is played from USB but otherwise it shows only the movie. I dont wanna copy every movie to USB and play it that way an would realy like to hear if it's possible to set it up the way I like.
I tryied Serviio and some other server programs but results are the same, movie plays perfectly but subtitles do not. Also i know one of the solution is to "burn in" the subtitles to a movie but that takes to much time on 2-3GB size movie.

Thank you,

Best regards
