KD49XD7005 + LG Soundbar issue.

hi all

hope someone could point me in the right direction for the issue im having

i purchased a couple of days ago a KD49xd7005 tv to replace a samsun smart 5500 series tv.

currently im having an issue with the sound bar, this is a LG soundbar which includes auto power on and off (when tv is on or off)

when i use it with the samsung it works fine, however when i use it with the Sony tv its as if when you turn off the tv, its not actually sending a turn off signal to the optical output port.

it also doesnt come back on proerly when you turn the TV on either.

the soundbar is known working fine so i dont think its that.

is there a setting i've missed somewhere to make the sony tv turn the optical output on/off with the tv?

any ideas would be muchly appreciated, as this is the only niggle i have with it (not that its hard to use the soundbar remote included)

Although, if you have a choice, connect the soundbar via HDMI instead of optical.

hi there.

thanks for the link, however with mine it only has an optical input and aux for mp3 etc.
